2011 was an amazing year and we are ready for 2012……..
VIET has many thanks for 2011 – gained a 30 years lease with the Archdioceses of New Orleans and Mary Queen of Vietnam parish – formed an awesome amazing partnership with Kaboom and Let’s Play initiative to build a 3,000 square feet playground for our children, the only playspace area for children in the Michoud area – transform the former St. Brigid Church and property into a community center – Gained the support from BP to build 2 community bridges overlooking the lagoon – planted over 40 fruit trees and much more….
We are excited about 2012 – our plan for 2012 is (1) Build an outdoor stage (2) Build an above the ground pool for aquatic exercise and swimming classes (3) complete the beach volleyball courts (4) build a computer lab and (5) Create a rock garden with bamboo…click on the Special Initiative tab to learn more about VIET 2012 Plan
